Lab Technologist

Chughtai Lahore Lab is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing and overseeing a range of clinical laboratory testing activities with strict adherence to quality control and good laboratory practices. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and a minimum of two years of practical experience working in laboratory environments, including sample collection, patient handling, and laboratory procedure management. As part of your responsibilities, you will manage a team of 20 laboratory personnel, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with established protocols. In this role, you are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of laboratory operations, including the meticulous execution of hematology analyzer testing and other diagnostic procedures. You will implement and monitor quality control testing procedures and standard operating procedures to ensure reliable and reproducible results. Utilizing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), you will manage data and sample tracking seamlessly. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a cooperative and productive laboratory environment, while upholding safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities

Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently following Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Manage and oversee daily operations of the laboratory, including supervising a team of 20 laboratory staff to meet performance and quality standards.
Conduct and interpret tests using hematology analyzers and other laboratory equipment.
Ensure quality control (QC) procedures are strictly implemented and maintained to guarantee reliable test results.
Develop, review, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Control Procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Handle proper collection, labeling, and processing of patient samples ensuring sample integrity and patient safety.
Utilize Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to maintain accurate records, sample tracking, and generate reports.
Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff to promote technical competence and procedural compliance.
Ensure laboratory safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe working environment.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals and departments to ensure optimal patient service and laboratory support.
Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs to continually improve laboratory performance.
Monitor inventory and manage procurement of laboratory reagents and supplies to avoid operational downtime.
