Account Head

The Account Head plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and regulatory compliance of the company. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports, conducting margin analyses, and overseeing the tax compliance functions to align with organizational goals. Your ability to analyze large data sets and maintain accuracy in journal entries and accounting records will contribute significantly to the company’s financial health. This leadership position requires excellent team management skills, motivating a diverse team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning to support business growth and regulatory adherence at Chery GT Automobiles.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage the accounting department ensuring high-performance standards and cohesive teamwork.
Own the full accounting cycle: daily journal entries, cash and bank management, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
Manage working capital — accounts payable (OEM invoices, vendor bills) and accounts receivable (booking deposits, instalment schedules, corporate and insurance ledgers).
Oversee financial reporting processes to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Ensure thorough compliance with tax regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns related to FBR, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax obligations.
Monitor and manage all aspects of tax compliance and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
Implement and maintain effective ERP systems for accounting functions to streamline processes and improve financial data accuracy.
Conduct detailed data analysis and margin analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity on a daily basis.
Develop financial strategies that support company objectives, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
Train, mentor, and guide team members to develop professional skills and improve overall departmental effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated and accurate financial management across the organization.
Stay up-to-date on financial regulations and industry trends to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.
Review and optimize internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and improve operational efficiencies.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes while ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial statements.
