Accountant (Import Experience Required

This role demands at least three years of solid accounting experience, with a focus on import accounting functions including preparation and management of trade finance and payment terms. The candidate will oversee a team of five persons, ensuring seamless coordination across import financial processes and mentoring team members to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in managing complex import documentation, customs regulations, and international trade compliance, while maintaining financial reporting integrity. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently under deadlines are essential. Strong command of MS Excel and accounting software supports efficient bank reconciliations and supplier account management, making this role pivotal in upholding Chem Innovation Industries' financial rigor in import operations.
Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant financial standards.
Oversee and process import documentation and related financial records, guaranteeing adherence to customs regulations and import/export policies.
Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts to maintain balanced and accurate financial records.
Prepare, review, and maintain financial reports and records that support internal and external compliance requirements.
Coordinate effectively with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to facilitate smooth import operations and timely financial settlements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, customs clearance procedures, international trade compliance, and financial regulations.
Lead and supervise a team of five accounting professionals to enhance operational efficiency and foster continuous improvement.
Maintain HS Code classification consistency and oversee trade finance documentation to support accurate import procedures.
Monitor payments and letter of credit (LC) processes to uphold financial integrity and mitigate risks in trade finance.
Develop and implement organizational procedures to streamline accounting functions related to import activities.
