Reports to: Assistant Supply Chain & Services Officer

Job Purpose: Overall, the job purpose of a driver is to provide safe and reliable transportation services to support the mission and objectives of the organization.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • The candidate must have a valid driving license with a valid HTV/LTV license and valid CNIC
  • Washing/cleaning of assigned vehicle with maintenance records and on-time oil and filters maintenance
  • Must be aware of KP routes
  • To maintain Vehicle Log Book, First Aid box, ensuring vehicle & staff safety.
  • Follow the Rules & regulations of the Organization's fleet policy, and properly follow traffic signals, rules and regulations.
  • Ensure effective transport facilitation and strictly follow the schedules provided by the supervisor
  • Cooperative & timely support to other staff as per organizational requirements.

Technical Level:

  • Be able to reads and understand specific vehicle operating manuals and is able to operate every device in the car
  • Respond to medical emergencies occurring to passengers en route.
  • Assist in performing and documenting route surveys, identifying safe havens and emergency resources, “choke points", "danger zones", and "zones of total predictability.
  • Be fully aware of and understand all Standing Operating Procedures laid down by the Islamic Relief
  • Pakistan/Worldwide for travel in Pakistan.
  • Collect and delivers mail / documents as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Make sure that the daily log sheet is prepared and a monthly report is prepared summarizing statistics linked to mileage, fuel consumption etc. for the vehicle.
  • Keep a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions, which involves Organization and its officials.
  • Ensure that the steps required by the local and Organization rules and regulations (pertaining to driving) are taken in case of involvement in an accident.
  • Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the Line Manager

Operational Level:

  • Development of work plans for timely implementation
  • Surveys, Data Collection & report generation
  • Record management – field visits, CO meetings, beneficiary data etc.
  • Communication, Planning & Scheduling, Time, Stress & Conflict Management, Situation handling, Leadership Skills, People & team management
  • Conduct health hygiene sessions at targeted areas

  • Roving position and can be based in all KP offices
  • Other duties assigned by the supervisor

Person Specification: It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. We have zero-tolerance policy towards SEAH and don’t support any action that promote or encourages SEAH.

Qualification:  Middle.

Experience:

  • Metric with Five (5) years or Middle with Seven (7) years of driving.
