Chaplet International (Pvt) Limited is seeking a skilled Traditional Kharaad (Manual Lathe Operator) to join their manufacturing team in Lahore, Pakistan. The successful candidate will have 2 to 3 years of practical experience operating manual lathe machines in an industrial setting. This role involves precision machining tasks, using manual lathe equipment to produce and repair machine parts according to detailed engineering drawings and specifications. The operator will be responsible for tool setup, adjustment, and conducting quality inspections to ensure stringent dimensional accuracy and adherence to established quality standards. Familiarity with safety compliance and routine machine maintenance is essential to maintain a safe and efficient workplace environment.
Responsibilities

Operate manual lathe machines to manufacture and repair machine components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Set up and adjust workpieces, tools, and lathe machine parameters to perform machining operations accurately and efficiently.
Execute various machining tasks such as turning, facing, threading, drilling, boring, and other related operations.
Conduct thorough inspection of finished parts to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards using precision measurement instruments.
Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance to ensure machine functionality and reduce downtime.
Identify and report any machine malfunctions or production concerns promptly to supervisors to maintain production flow.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize hazards.
Understand and apply surface grinding and polishing techniques as required to achieve specified finishes.
Handle materials carefully and efficiently to support continuous production operations.
Use knowledge of CNC grinding machines to support integration or assist with specialized machining tasks when needed.
