NOTE: This position is for a Survey for a duration of 4-6 weeks (maximum 8 weeks) 

The District Coordinator (DC) is a crucial role responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth execution of fieldwork for survey activities. The DC will coordinate between various stakeholders and maintain high standards of data quality. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills to manage field teams and liaise effectively with governmental and non-governmental bodies.

Location: 7 districts of Sindh: Qambar Shahdadkot, Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore 

Reports to: Field Coordinator / Provincial Coordinator

Key Responsibilities 

Liaison and Coordination:

  • Coordinate and maintain liaison between the District Health Department, District Population Welfare Department and any other related departments.
  • Coordinate with the District Department of Health and District Population Welfare Department to facilitate survey activities.
  • Establish connections with local agencies, such as PPHI, Sindh Health Care Commission, NGOs, and other stakeholders for seamless survey operations.
  • Communicate with local/facility authorities to inform and gain support for the assessment work.

Planning and Field Management:

  • Develop district field data collection plan with field teams.
  • Share and update the field implementation plan with Field Coordinator and Project Officer.
  • Ensure the implementation of fieldwork according to the established field plan and protocol.
  • Assign and manage duties of field staff and organize daily work plans for teams.
  • Conduct regular team debriefings to address issues and provide guidance.
  • Liaison with CGPH-Pakistan office for any issue or assistance for smooth implementation of fieldwork

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee the data collection process, ensuring it aligns with protocol and quality standards.
  • Review completed assessments, monitor the completion and submission of data, and conduct spot-checks.
  • Handle non-response issues by facilitating callback procedures and ensuring minimal data loss.

General Duties:

  • Manage field supplies and logistics, including transportation and office space.
  • Report regularly to the field coordinator/project officer, providing updates and feedback.
  • Conduct all delegated tasks as assigned by CGPH-Pakistan’s Provincial Manager or Islamabad office.
  • Address field challenges promptly and liaise with higher management to find solutions.
  • Conduct regular meetings with teams to discuss and troubleshoot fieldwork issues.
  • Prepare comprehensive progress and performance reports for the head office.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Master’s degree in (Project Management/MBA/MSPH/Doctor or a relevant field).
  • 4-5 years of experience in field coordination, project management, or a related role. 
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging field environments and handle logistical complexities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
  • should be able to use email and MS Excel.
  • Proficient in data collection protocols and quality assurance measures.
  • Familiarity with local health systems and experience in liaising with government and non-governmental organizations is preferred.

Compensation 

A competitive salary package will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary Range 115,000 to 125,000.
