Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers as they enter the store.
- Answer customer inquiries about products, prices, availability, and features.
- Provide personalized service to help customers find what they need.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
Sales:
- Promote and sell products to customers.
- Achieve sales targets set by the management.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the store’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Upsell and cross-sell products based on customer needs and preferences.
Inventory Management:
- Ensure products are well-stocked at the counter and on display shelves.
- Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Store Operations:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales counter and store area.
- Participate in setting up product displays and promotional materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Cash Handling:
- Handle cash, credit, and other transactions securely and accurately.
- Reconcile cash registers at the end of the shift.
- Ensure all financial transactions are documented properly.
Reporting:
- Prepare daily sales reports and submit them to management.
- Provide feedback on customer preferences, buying trends, and store performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in sales or retail management are a plus.
- Experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
