The Professional Cooker will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Pakistani and Chinese dishes while ensuring high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation. This role requires knowledge of traditional recipes, an understanding of various cooking techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook dishes from Pakistani and Chinese cuisine, including but not limited to curries, BBQ, noodles, stir-fries, and dumplings.
  • Follow recipes and ensure food quality and consistency.
  • Ensure proper portioning of ingredients and cooking times.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Experiment and innovate with new recipes or fusion dishes combining both cuisines.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and ensure timely food preparation during service hours.
  • Taste and season dishes according to client preferences or restaurant standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper storage of perishable goods.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a cooker/chef specializing in Pakistani and Chinese cuisine.
  • Knowledge of traditional Pakistani dishes (e.g., Biryani, Nihari, Karahi) and Chinese dishes (e.g., Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, Chow Mein).
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strong time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
  • Creative with a passion for culinary arts and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and serving staff.
Preferred:
  • Formal culinary training or certification in Pakistani or Chinese cooking techniques.
  • Prior experience working in restaurants, catering, or hotel kitchens.
