We are looking for a talented CAD/CAM Designer to join our team on a full-time basis in Karachi. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and converting these designs into machine-readable instructions for manufacturing. This role involves working closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all designs are accurate and comply with industry standards. The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs70,000.

Key Responsibilities

Design and drafting duties include developing precise 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD software such as PRO-E and CREO, strictly following engineering specifications. The candidate will also translate these designs into CNC machine toolpaths and other machine-readable instructions to support part manufacturing.

Collaboration is essential, as the role requires regular engagement with engineers, architects, and project managers to fully understand design intent and resolve any design-related issues promptly. Quality assurance tasks involve reviewing and revising drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with both company and industry standards.

Additionally, the designer will prepare comprehensive documentation, including material specifications and procedural guidelines, to facilitate manufacturing and construction processes. Maintaining well-organized and up-to-date digital files for all design projects is also a critical responsibility.

Providing technical support to production teams and offering training to other operators as needed will be part of the role, ensuring smooth workflow and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard CAD/CAM software, particularly PRO-E and CREO. A strong understanding of technical drawing principles, design concepts, and manufacturing processes is essential.

Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills are critical for success in this position. The ability to interpret engineering drawings, including orthographic and isometric views, is required. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are also important.

Prior experience in the automotive vendor industry is mandatory, as this background ensures familiarity with the specific demands and standards of the sector.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

Familiarity with additional software such as MicroStation is considered advantageous and may benefit certain projects.
