  • Develop, improve, and customize equipment, products, formulas, analytical methods, and processes.
  • Consult with engineers and scientists on analysis, interpretation, and development of tests.
  • Induce reactions to chemical substances with light, energy, heat, and chemical catalysts.
  • Sound knowledge of all kinds of paint formulation.
  • Good knowledge of chemicals used in paint manufacturing.
  • Develop and publish raw material and product specification.
  • Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, and reactions.
  • Prepare test solutions, compounds, and reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests.
  • In collaboration with purchasing, source, fabricate, and approve new chemicals and packaging materials.
  • Continue to research and maintain a working knowledge of industry and product trends that support new paint product development.
