Officer – Overseas Desk

A reputed trade organization based in Islamabad invites applications from qualified, dynamic, and motivated professionals for the position of Officer – Overseas Desk.

The Overseas Desk is being established as a one-window information and facilitation center to respond to inquiries from overseas businesses, investors, trade organizations, diplomatic missions, and the Pakistani diaspora. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting investment opportunities, facilitating international business linkages, and providing reliable information to foreign stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and respond to overseas inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with foreign businesses, investors, trade organizations, diplomatic missions, and overseas Pakistanis.
  • Guide Pakistan's investment policies, regulatory framework, and business procedures.
  • Facilitate business matchmaking between overseas inquiries and relevant local businesses, investors, and institutions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to provide accurate information and seamless support.
  • Maintain correspondence, databases, records, and reports related to international inquiries and business engagements.
  • Assist in organizing international business forums, trade delegations, B2B meetings, and investment promotion activities.
  • Perform any other assignments related to international affairs as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputed university. A degree in International Relations, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field will be preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin), both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
  • Knowledge of international trade, investment promotion, and business facilitation will be an added advantage.

Reporting Line

The position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the delivery of accurate information and support for international trade and investment activities.
  • Maintain and update correspondence, databases, records, and reports related to international business inquiries and engagements.
  • Support the planning and execution of international business forums, trade delegations, business-to-business meetings, and investment promotion events.
  • Assist senior management by performing additional tasks related to international affairs as directed by the Chief Operating Officer.
