Our company in UAE is growing rapidly and is looking to fill the role of Technician – LPG Bottling Plan . To join our growing team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.
- The LPG Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair and upgrade of commercial LPG cylinder filling installations and for the maintenance and repair of bulk tankers, and ISO tanks.
- Performs all Installations including piping for L.P.G. in keeping with standard operating procedures and the health, safety and environment policies governing the operations.
- Responsible for the repair of the Filling Station (– pump, meter, by-pass valve, and piping).
- Maintains all Bulk Trucks and Haulage Tankers including piping, pumps, tank fittings, by-pass valves, meters, swivel joints, and hose reels.
- Responds to all customer calls in a timely manner concerning leaking installations and Bulk Tanks.
- Services all cylinders ranging from five (5) gallons and upwards.
- Prepares the Monthly Maintenance Report for tank wagons and bulk trucks using the L.P.G. Cargo tank inspection checklist.
- Requests via the Purchasing Clerk the purchasing of new parts for the Installation Department in keeping with standard operating procedures.
- Verify that operation and maintenance activities are being carried out and comply with appropriate work and safety procedures
- Apply operation procedures at high-risk jobs and abnormal situations
- Monitor and maintain inlet and outlet volumes, repairs and maintenance.
- Operate the gas storage plant safely, reliably and consistently with company standards and requirements to serve its customers
- Monitor system integrity, daily monitoring and control of gas plant operations
- Provides proactive preventative maintenance (PM) activities (e.g., annual inspections, relief/control valve testing, switch calibrations)
- Monitors plant operating conditions of all (4) LNG plants from the control room
- Oversees safety and security operations
Skills and Qualifications
- High Secondary school diploma or ITI & trade certificate in electrical, Mechanical
- Minimum 2- 4 years’ experience in LPG Bottling & Filling Plant operations ONLY
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts
- Previous experience in maintenance or quality work desirable
- Ability to routinely lift heavy weight
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
