We are looking for an accountant to provide services to an accountancy practice in the UK that outsources work to us.
Responsibilities
Job Role:
The role requires the candidate to:
- Prepare, review and finalise financial statements and tax returns for limited companies, charities, sole traders and individuals in a variety of industries and professions;
- Supervise other members of the accounts team, including providing feedback and training based on work reviewed;
- Liaise with other team members to resolve accounting queries and ensure assignments are completed efficiently and on time;
- Assist with ad hoc accountancy assignments such as preparing management accounts and dealing with HMRC compliance checks.
Skills & Experience:
The candidate will be expected to:
- Have a strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, corporation tax, personal tax and VAT;
- Ideally have an ACA/ACCA qualification;
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ accountancy experience working with for UK-based clients;
- Be able to use accounting software such as TaxCalc, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks;
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Plan and organise work according to client and partner deadlines;
- Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a remote team;
- Show initiative in resolving technical and practical accounting matters.

- The role is a fully remote-working position;
- Candidates must be available during UK working hours;
- Company-owned computer equipment will be provided;
