As a Fast Food Restaurant Cashier, you will be responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to customers while handling transactions accurately. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive customer experience and contributing to the overall smooth operation of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

  • Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
  • Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide information about menu items and promotions.

2. Order Processing:

  • Use the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) system to input orders.
  • Ensure order accuracy and make necessary modifications as per customer requests.
  • Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.

4. Upselling and Promotions:

  • Suggest additional items or upgrades to increase sales.
  • Inform customers about current promotions or special offers.

5. Maintaining Cleanliness:

  • Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks as needed.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

7. Handling Customer Inquiries:

  • Address customer questions or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the manager for complex or escalated issues.

8. Compliance with Health and Safety Standards:

  •  Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  •  Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of food.

10. Cash Handling and Reporting:

  • Handle cash transactions securely and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.

Qualifications:

  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
