Responsibilities
- Leading a team of writers and overseeing and improving their content quality.
- Targeting a specific set of keywords for all the articles written and published.
- Writing, proofreading and editing SEO content pieces.
- Working closely with the company’s marketing team to devise innovative and practical content marketing strategies.
- Devising innovative content ideas and brainstorming with team members to develop new ideas.
- Familiarizing yourself with each company's brand ideals and website to create content that supports their objectives and desired identity.
- Develop a web content strategy that encompasses the goals of a company and aligns with the company's image.
- Manage the daily activities of a content team composed of writers (off-page and on-page).
- Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content according to the deadlines.
- Use target keywords to write search-engine copy that is optimised for search engines (SEO) while remaining entertaining and informative.
- Proofreading and editing submissions according to brand guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of British English Grammar and sentence structure.
- Creativity and the ability to develop original content.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Ability to write content that provokes engagement.
- Good command of the English language and advanced written communication skills.
- Basic technical knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience writing on-page and off-page content and blogs.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and experience in SEO writing.
- Expert in technical writing.
- Experience in copywriting will be preferred.
