Based in Islamabad, Pakistan, the Borehole Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and reliable products and services to customers. This role requires close collaboration with operations teams to provide expert technical support, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and promote innovative technologies and service offerings. The engineer plays an active role in risk management and applies lessons learned to improve job design and execution. Providing real-time operational support is also a critical aspect of this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise throughout the sales, product development, and service delivery processes.
- Assist in developing technical job designs in partnership with project leaders.
- Identify opportunities to implement new, cost-effective techniques that enhance operational efficiency.
- Explore and recommend value-added products and services to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with Design and Technical Engineers to optimize technical designs and solutions.
- Support incident response, recovery, and investigation activities related to borehole production operations.
- Evaluate the technical viability and overall appraisal of tenders within the area of expertise.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain technical leadership.
- Maintain active customer engagement through participation in professional societies and technical forums.
- Analyze competitors’ technical offerings to inform strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to external technical societies, communities, and publications to share knowledge and best practices.
- Engage with local universities, customer institutes, and research organizations to foster collaboration and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Geoscience or a related field.
