Borehole Geologist

Based in Islamabad, Pakistan, the Borehole Geologist plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and reliable products and services to customers. This position requires close collaboration with operations teams to provide expert technical support and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in both product and service delivery. The role emphasizes promoting new technologies, supporting risk management efforts, and applying lessons learned to improve job design and execution. Providing real-time operational support is a key component of this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical expertise throughout the sales process, product development, and service delivery phases.
- Collaborate with Project Leaders to assist in developing technical job designs.
- Identify and recommend innovative, cost-effective techniques for application in operations.
- Explore and propose opportunities to offer value-added products and services to customers.
- Consult with Design and Technical Engineers to optimize and refine technical designs.
- Support real-time incident response, recovery, and investigation related to geological operations.
- Evaluate the technical viability of projects and contribute to the appraisal of tenders.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and advancements in the field of borehole geology.
- Maintain visibility and engagement with customers through active participation in professional societies and technical forums.
- Understand competitive technical offerings and keep abreast of industry trends.
- Contribute to and review technical publications to share knowledge and best practices.
- Foster collaboration by engaging with local universities, customer institutes, and research organizations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science degree in Geoscience or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical support and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of borehole geology and associated operational processes.
