We are looking for a dedicated and organized individual to manage our team of riders responsible for milk deliveries.

The role involves ensuring efficient distribution, monitoring leftover stock, managing end to end deliveries and inventory, analyzing data, and ensuring efficient operation of the dairy farm and retail activities and ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Stock Check:

  • Conduct daily checks on leftover milk in stores.
  • Record and report inventory levels to ensure accurate stock management.

Distribution Management:

  • Allocate milk bottles to riders based on daily routes and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure riders have the correct quantity and types of milk bottles needed for their routes.

⁠Route Management:

  • Plan and manage rider routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
  • Adjust routes as necessary to accommodate new orders, cancellations, or other changes.

Rider Coordination:

  • Coordinate with riders to ensure they understand their routes and delivery schedules.
  • Address any issues or concerns riders may have regarding their deliveries.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor delivery performance and address any delays or issues.
  • Compile and submit daily reports on delivery status, stock levels, and any discrepancies.

⁠Customer Service:

  • Ensure riders maintain high standards of customer service during deliveries.
  • Handle any customer complaints or issues related to deliveries promptly and effectively.

Training and Compliance:

  • Train new riders on delivery protocols and route management.
  • Ensure all riders comply with company policies and safety regulations.

Optimization:

  • Continuously look for ways to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement changes to routes or delivery processes as needed to optimize performance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a delivery or logistics environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using route planning and inventory management software.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • ⁠Valid driver's license is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require early morning starts or late evening finishes 7 days a week to align with delivery schedules.
  • The position involves both office work and fieldwork, managing riders and checking stock at various locations.
