Import Manager

Bin Zaman Traders is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import Manager with at least 3 years of experience to oversee and optimize the import operations. The successful candidate will handle the coordination and management of supply chain activities related to imports, ensuring all documentation and compliance standards are met. This role involves managing logistics, controlling inventory, and maintaining accurate records including bills of lading to support smooth and timely import processes. The Import Manager will use ERP systems to monitor transactions and streamline workflow within the supply chain without direct team management responsibilities. The Import Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of imported goods from international suppliers into the companys operations. The candidate will collaborate with multiple departments and external vendors, working diligently to prevent delays and reduce costs. Strong attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of import documentation and logistics coordination are essential. This position requires maintaining regulatory compliance and implementing best practices in supply chain management while supporting inventory control throughout the import cycle.
Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage import documentation to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
Oversee the logistics process from supplier shipment through customs clearance to final delivery at company locations.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, bills of lading, and related import documents.
Use ERP systems to track and manage import transactions, inventory levels, and documentation.
Collaborate closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Monitor and control inventory as shipments are received to align with supply chain demand and reduce discrepancies.
Identify and resolve potential issues in the import process to minimize delays and additional costs.
Assist in the preparation and review of import-related reports for management and regulatory audits.
Implement continuous improvements in import procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Ensure adherence to import laws and regulations and stay updated on relevant changes impacting import activities.
