Electrician

Best Western is seeking a skilled Electrician with a minimum of two years of experience specializing in electrical wiring, circuit testing, and system upgrades. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical systems within the hotel environment. This role demands proficiency in conducting insulation resistance testing, wiring and rewiring techniques, and ensuring all electrical work meets safety and quality standards. The electrician will work independently in a fast-paced hotel setting, performing routine inspections and troubleshooting electrical issues to ensure operational efficiency and guest safety. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete projects timely and efficiently.
Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical equipment throughout the hotel premises.
Perform detailed electrical circuit installation and upgrades according to hotel standards and local electrical codes.
Conduct insulation resistance testing and circuit testing to diagnose electrical faults and ensure system safety.
Execute wiring and rewiring techniques to update or replace outdated electrical infrastructure.
Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for preventive maintenance.
Collaborate with maintenance teams and external contractors to coordinate electrical work and minimize disruption to hotel operations.
Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to electrical work, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Respond promptly to emergency electrical situations to restore power and resolve critical issues efficiently.
Stay current with new technologies, electrical codes, and industry best practices relevant to hotel electrical systems.
