English Language Instructor

Berlitz is seeking an experienced English Language Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in teaching English and a commitment to delivering high-quality language instruction. This role involves creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that adhere to recognized frameworks, using a variety of teaching methods to enhance language acquisition. The instructor will guide students through curriculum designed for different proficiency levels, emphasizing practical communication skills and cultural understanding. Candidates should hold at least 16 years of education and have experience teaching English at a recognized institution. In this position, the English Language Instructor will manage a team of three individuals, coordinating lesson plans, assessments, and instructional resources to ensure consistency and effectiveness in teaching. The role requires active classroom management and the ability to assess and evaluate student performance using established rubrics. The instructor will also provide pronunciation coaching and foster an interactive environment to support multicultural communication and student engagement. Effective collaboration within the team and with the broader organization is essential to meet Berlitzs educational objectives.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum and lesson plans aligned with the CEFR framework to meet diverse student needs.
Manage classroom activities effectively to create a positive and productive learning environment.
Conduct student assessments, develop rubrics, and evaluate progress to ensure achievement of language proficiency goals.
Provide personalized pronunciation coaching to support student confidence and clarity in English communication.
Use interactive teaching methods to enhance student engagement and facilitate practical language acquisition.
Promote multicultural communication awareness within lessons to accommodate students from varied backgrounds.
Supervise and coordinate the instructional activities of a team of three educators to maintain consistent teaching standards and collaboration.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in ongoing professional development and feedback sessions.
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and proficiency levels effectively.
Ensure compliance with all academic standards and policies of Berlitz and relevant educational authorities.
