We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Taxation to lead and manage the tax practice area's operations and deliver quality tax services that enhance our firm's reputation. The successful candidate will act as a business advisor to our clients to maximize engagement and achieve qualitative outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within the given timeframe.
  • Draft responses to notices received from FBR under various sections of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
  • Manage tax provision and tax compliance processes, identify and mitigate tax risks.
  • Supervise the preparation and filing of income tax returns for individuals, AOPs, and companies.
  • Prepare and file returns and wealth statements of complex clients.
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
  • Manage the team and provide leadership, guidance, and support as needed.
  • Liaise with clients and maintain strong relationships with them

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of tax compliance, income tax ordinance, and related laws.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong IQ and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience of independently communicating with tax authorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organizational and management skills, with the ability to work well as a team member and motivator.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Passionate about the tax profession.
  • Hands-on experience with IRIS by FBR.
