A newly established E-commerce company in the travel space requires a Manager of Finance based out of Islamabad.

Key requirements are as follows:

  1. Manage & supervise the functional and administrative duties and responsibilities of the Finance department.
  2. Functions as an advisor / consultant and keeps accurate business transactions in ledgers and ensures the team records them on financial statements monthly, quarterly and yearly.
  3. Lead and grow the team while controlling cost and improving productivity.

MAIN DUTIES:

  1. Manages and supervises the functional & administrative duties & responsibilities of the Accounts department.
  2. Ensures compliance to accounting policies & procedures.
  3. On time preparation and reporting of periodic & year-end Financial Statements as per IFRS.
  4. Preparation of budgets in close liaison with CEO and Managers.
  5. Review and control of approved budgets.
  6. Management Reporting (MIS).
  7. Asset, cash, accounts receivable management, supervise tax matters of the group.
  8. Staff payroll administration.
  9. Co-ordination with division heads and senior management.
  10. Maintains involvement in each aspect where the intervention of finance is needed.
  11. Maintains banking relationship (Bank Facilities, Payment Gateways, credit facilities, etc.).
  12. Co-ordination with auditors and making sure to achieve proper and on-time reporting of reviewed and audited financials.
  13. Compliance to legal requirements (e.g. SECP, FBR, other local regulatory authorities, etc.).
  14. Maintains good relationship with customers, suppliers, and other business partners and ensures all issues are being attended properly.
  15. Payroll (salary calculation and payment & monitoring staff benefits).
  16. Monitors general invoicing, credit limits of customers, refunds, delivery of invoices timely, AR, petty cash custodian.
  17. Abide by Company Policy and Procedure.
  18. Quality Orientation.
  19. Be Health and Safety conscious at the workplace at all times.
  20. Abide by Fire and Safety Procedures at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

Years of experience required: Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a reputed travel agency / Travel Management company or E-commerce company in the travel space.

Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant.

Essential Skills: Has to be based in Islamabad, Good knowledge of travel industry finance & accounts procedures, Good customer service skills, Problem-solving skills, Team spirit, Planning, organizing, communication, forecasting, budgeting, Implementation, controlling, analytical, supplier relationship, delegation, reporting, computer savvy, legal formalities, supplier negotiation, Travel industry front, mid & back office systems, Understanding of IT tools and process.
