Accountant

BA Communication Services is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with 10 years of professional experience to join our finance department. The ideal candidate plays a critical role in managing comprehensive financial reporting, bookkeeping, and compliance activities to ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial management that supports business decision-making. This role requires a strong command of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and payroll management backed by proficiency in Zoho accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. The accountant will also ensure strict adherence to Dubai-specific tax regulations and demonstrate analytical capabilities to maintain and improve financial processes within the organization. This position emphasizes collaboration and effective communication with the finance team to streamline reporting and enhance efficiency. Although this role does not include managing a team, the accountant will contribute to safeguarding company assets by enforcing internal controls and supporting audit activities. The successful candidate holds a relevant professional certification such as CA or ACCA and brings extensive experience in payroll processing, financial reconciliation, and audit coordination. Responsibilities

• Prepare daily and monthly account reports accurately and on schedule to ensure timely financial insights for decision-making.
• Generate detailed profit and loss statements that clearly reflect the company's financial performance and assist management analysis.
• Manage all financial transactions and maintain high data integrity using Zoho accounting software for precise and compliant recordkeeping.
• Ensure complete compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulatory requirements, including those specific to Dubai's tax system.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records for reliable financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and providing detailed explanations promptly.
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and increase operational efficiency.
• Prepare payroll and manage salary disbursements, maintaining confidential and detailed compensation records in accordance with policies.
• Stay updated with current financial principles and regulations to ensure continuous compliance and application of best practices.
• Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modeling techniques to analyze data, identify trends, and support budget development and forecasting.
• Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning activities aligned with organizational goals.
• Monitor and enforce strong internal controls designed to protect company assets and reduce financial risks to the organization.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels to promote transparency and understanding.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively, meet tight deadlines, and adjust to evolving business needs while maintaining attention to detail.
