BA Communication Services is looking for an experienced Accountant with 15 years of professional expertise to join and lead our finance department. This role includes managing a team of one accounting professional and requires a strong focus on financial reporting, bookkeeping, compliance, and team leadership. The Accountant will handle diverse accounting responsibilities, including preparing accurate daily and monthly financial reports, generating profit and loss statements, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and Dubai-specific tax regulations. The ideal candidate must possess excellent analytical skills, proficiency in Zoho accounting software and Microsoft Excel, and demonstrate effective communication to support collaboration within the finance team and with external stakeholders.
The Accountant also drives improvements in financial processes through critical analysis and forecasting. This role demands multitasking under tight deadlines, coordination of audits, payroll management, and reconciliation activities, while maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy. Holding a relevant certification such as CA or ACCA is essential. Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate daily and monthly account reports within established deadlines to deliver timely financial insights.
- Generate detailed profit and loss statements that reflect the companys financial performance and support management decision-making.
- Manage all financial transactions and maintain data integrity using Zoho accounting software to ensure precise and compliant records.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulatory requirements, including Dubai-specific tax regulations.
- Regularly reconcile accounts to keep general ledgers accurate and facilitate reliable financial statements.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing and promptly providing necessary documentation and detailed explanations.
- Collaborate proactively with the finance team to improve and streamline financial reporting processes, boosting efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare payroll and manage salary disbursements, maintaining detailed and confidential employee compensation records.
- Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing clear guidance, constructive feedback, and fostering continuous professional development.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current financial principles, regulatory changes, and accounting best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modeling techniques to analyze financial data, identify trends, and assist budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic financial planning to support overall company objectives and business growth.
- Monitor and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risks.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, promoting transparency and informed decision-making.
