Awan Traders is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Computer Operator to manage billing and point-of-sale (POS) operations efficiently. The ideal candidate must possess strong data entry and keyboarding skills, alongside basic accounting knowledge to ensure smooth transaction processing and accurate record-keeping. This role requires at least two years of experience working with billing systems, POS software, and foundational accounting principles. The Computer Operator will work closely with the sales and accounting teams to support daily business functions without the responsibility of managing a team.
Responsibilities
Operate billing and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately, ensuring all customer transactions are processed promptly and correctly. Enter data efficiently into billing software and update records in real-time to maintain inventory and sales accuracy. Perform regular reconciliation of billing records with actual sales to prevent discrepancies.
Apply basic accounting principles to track daily sales figures, prepare simple financial reports, and assist in maintaining accurate financial records. Assist with inventory tracking by updating stock changes linked with sales and returns. Communicate effectively with the sales and accounting departments to resolve any billing or POS-related issues. Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
