Are you a highly organized and efficient individual with a passion for coordinating logistics and providing exceptional customer service? We are currently seeking a dedicated Taxi Dispatcher to join our team and contribute to the smooth and efficient operations of our taxi service.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and manage incoming requests for taxi services from customers via phone
- Dispatch available taxis to customers based on location, destination, and taxi availability.
- Monitor and track the progress of taxi drivers. ensuring timely pickup and drop-off of passengers.
- Coordinate with drivers to optimize routes and minimize customer wait times.
- Communicate with customers to provide estimated arrival times and updates on taxi status.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Collaborate with other dispatchers and team members to ensure seamless coordination of taxi operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a dispatcher
- Proficiency in using dispatching software and GPS systems to efficiently allocate resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions quickly.
- Knowledge of local streets, routes, and landmarks is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the demands of the business.
