Office Engineer - Roads & Bridges Construction

AstroWorks seeks a skilled Civil Engineer with a focused expertise in Roads and Bridges Construction to join our infrastructure development team. The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of hands-on experience specifically in road and bridge projects, demonstrating capability in executing complex civil engineering tasks within tight deadlines and challenging environments. This role emphasizes active participation in government and public sector infrastructure projects, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful public works that shape the community's transportation network. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for coordinating technical activities on-site, requiring strong communication and coordination skills. The role demands consistent presence on construction sites in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, ensuring work compliance with project specifications and public sector standards. Although this position does not include team management responsibilities, the candidate will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and rigorous adherence to safety and quality benchmarks.
Responsibilities

Manage the design, planning, and execution of roads and bridges construction projects, ensuring all activities align with technical specifications and project timelines.
Conduct thorough reviews of technical drawings and documentation using software such as AutoCAD and EPADS to verify accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports and documentation to facilitate project tracking and stakeholder communication.
Coordinate effectively with government agencies, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project workflow and compliance with public sector regulations.
Monitor and supervise construction activities on-site in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, ensuring all safety and quality standards are rigorously applied.
Oversee material procurement processes and verify quantities and quality of construction materials to ensure conformity with project requirements.
Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions promptly to mitigate delays or safety issues.
Participate in technical problem-solving and provide innovative solutions to complex construction challenges encountered during project execution.
Ensure that all construction activities comply with environmental regulations and sustainable construction practices.
Maintain strict adherence to deadlines and project schedules, proactively adjusting plans to manage project risks and emergent issues.
