Associate Manager Accounts & Costing

ASTO Life Sciences is seeking a detail-oriented Associate Manager Accounts & Costing with a minimum of five years of experience in accounting and finance. This role focuses on managing and analyzing financial data related to cost accounting and accounts management. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in financial and cost accounting, inventory accounting, and landed cost calculations required for accurate product costing and financial reporting. This position demands expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial statements to support business decision-making processes. The Associate Manager handles the end-to-end costing processes, including computing landed costs by assessing all import-related expenses such as purchase price, freight, customs duties, taxes, and clearing charges. This role also involves pricing analysis, cost-volume-profit assessments, and profitability analysis by product, customer, and business segment. The individual works independently without team management responsibilities but coordinates effectively with cross-functional departments to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems that reflect product costs including purchase price, freight, customs duties, taxes, and clearing charges.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Conduct costing and pricing analysis to determine product profitability and gross margin performance across different products and customer segments.
Manage budgeting and forecasting activities in alignment with organizational goals and monitor financial performance against budgets.
Perform detailed landed cost calculations incorporating all import-related expenses to ensure precise cost allocation and product pricing.
Analyze accounts payable and receivable to maintain a healthy cash flow and ensure timely processing of payments and collections.
Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and sales teams to gather relevant data for accurate costing and financial analysis.
Support senior management with insightful financial reports that aid strategic decision-making and business planning.
Ensure effective control and reconciliation of inventory accounting to maintain accurate records of stock valuation and transactions.
Implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Review and monitor cost variances and implement corrective measures to optimize financial performance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable accounting regulations, tax guidelines, and financial best practices.
