Role Description The Associate Accountant will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include assisting with preparation of financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring accurate documentation of financial records. The role will involve working with accounting software, preparing basic financial reports, and helping with tax and compliance-related tasks as needed. The Associate Accountant will collaborate with senior team members to address client queries, follow internal controls, and adhere to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Islamabad, requiring regular office presence and coordination with colleagues and clients. Qualifications Strong foundation in accounting principles, including knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and financial statement preparation. Proficiency with accounting and office software (e.g., MS Excel, accounting ERP systems) and the ability to learn new tools quickly. Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CA foundation-level) are an advantage. Demonstrated integrity, discretion with confidential information, and commitment to ethical professional standards. Prior internship or entry-level experience in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory.
