The Assistant Manager - Trust Account plays a vital role in managing and overseeing trust account operations, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of fund accounting processes. The ideal candidate holds a relevant academic qualification such as ICMA Finalist or B.Com and has at least 2 years of experience in fund accounting or a related field. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it demands a high level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently to support organizational financial objectives. The Assistant Manager collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to perform bank reconciliations, maintain accurate financial records, and prepare detailed reports that comply with regulatory standards. This role demands clear communication skills to articulate findings and recommendations effectively. Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed fund accounting accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage and reconcile trust accounts regularly to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Utilize VPS and other financial software tools proficiently to maintain up-to-date and comprehensive financial records.
  • Conduct timely bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise, and comprehensive financial reports using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ensure all transactions and activities comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with auditors and other financial professionals during inspections and evaluations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of all relevant financial data and reports.
  • Identify any areas for improvement in the trust accounting process and suggest practical solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and address any issues promptly.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes related to trust accounts.
  • Support senior management by providing accurate financial information and insights as required.
  • Work independently to manage workload efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial information and data.
