The Executive – R&D (Wet Processing) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of wet processing activities within the Research and Development (R&D) department. This individual is responsible for overseeing various aspects of wet processing operations, including lab testing, inspection, quality evaluation, and material movement.
They must possess a strong understanding of wet processing machinery, dyestuff and auxiliaries, along with the ability to conduct quality evaluations and provide accurate results for fabric developments. Additionally, this role involves secondary responsibilities such as data management, effective communication with internal teams, and innovation in dyestuff, processes, and finishes.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in lab testing, inspection, and quality evaluation processes.
- Exhibit a deep understanding of wet processing operations, including machinery, dyestuffs, and auxiliaries.
- Expertly handle materials movement on the wet processing floor, ensuring proper traceability.
- Complete all assigned tasks within designated timelines.
- Conduct quality evaluations before advising fabrics to Product Development (PD) and Marketing teams.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in results for developments and replenishment processes.
- Manage data effectively, including assortment, presentation, and interpretation of outcomes.
- Maintain smooth communication with both internal and external stakeholders across departments.
- Engage in innovation and research to discover new dyestuffs, processes, and finishes.
