Job Overview
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO) will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will support him in achieving strategic and operational objectives/goals of Farms & Seeds.
Responsibilities and Duties
- The Deputy CEO will work under Chief Executive Officer and assist to develop & institute policies and procedures for Farms & Seeds (F&S) pertaining to agricultural practices, production, cultivation, corporate strategy, goals, and short/long term objectives for consideration, adoption and implementation by the Board of Directors
- The Deputy CEO will set and monitor the teams’ work activities of F&S and will exercise initiative in a professional manner by providing expert advice to other employees in line with BUs and AWT practices with the consent of CEO F&S
- Under the management of the CEO and with the assistance and support of the relevant authorities including AWT HO, ED (IF&T) Sectt, GHQ, Civil Authorities etc
- Will render advice to CEO on all BU agreements, projects, field areas etc and monitoring their input accordingly
- Prudently manages BU’s resources within the budget guidelines and according to policies and procedures
- Frequent visits to F & S projects, field areas etc and monitoring their output accordingly
