Area Manager – Fruits & Vegetables (F&V)

We are looking for a skilled and results-driven Area Manager with a strong background in Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) to oversee and manage operations across multiple retail branches. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the F&V sector within Retail or FMCG environments. This role requires expertise in inventory management, sales growth, wastage control, team leadership, and branch operations to ensure business expansion and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise F&V operations across several retail branches to guarantee smooth daily functioning.
- Consistently achieve sales targets, profitability goals, and operational benchmarks.
- Track daily sales data, stock levels, inventory movement, and product performance indicators.
- Uphold high standards of F&V quality, freshness, product display, storage, and handling.
- Implement controls to reduce wastage, shrinkage, expiry, and stock losses effectively.
- Ensure strict compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory rotation methods.
- Analyze sales and inventory reports to identify trends, challenges, and potential business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, HR, and Branch Managers to optimize operations.
- Monitor supplier quality and product availability to maintain a consistent supply chain.
- Lead, manage, and develop F&V teams across assigned branches to improve performance and employee engagement.
- Conduct regular branch visits to ensure adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for senior management.
- Identify operational issues promptly and implement corrective measures to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure excellent customer service and attractive product presentation at all times.

Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8+ years of relevant experience in Retail, FMCG, Supermarket, Grocery, or Fresh Produce sectors.
- Proven hands-on experience specifically in Fruits & Vegetables within a Retail or FMCG company.
- Prior experience in a senior or area management role is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of F&V quality standards, freshness, wastage control, shrinkage, inventory management, and merchandising techniques.
- Experience managing multiple branches or outlets is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of retail sales and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Additional certifications or qualifications in Retail Management, FMCG, Supply Chain, or Operations will be an advantage.
- This is a full-time senior-level position within the Operations department of a Retail/FMCG company.
- Competitive monthly salary range from Rs120,000 to Rs150,000.
- The role requires on-site presence at assigned branch locations.
