ARAR Group seeks a capable Technical Officer with expertise in electrical circuits, control panels, PLC-based systems, pressure and temperature instruments, and electromechanical components. The successful candidate holds a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Biomedical Engineering Technology, Mechanical, or Mechatronics from a recognized Board of Technical Education in Pakistan. This role demands at least two years of hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, or repairing electrical, electronic, electromechanical, or automated/PLC-based equipment in industrial, healthcare, or institutional environments. The position requires a strong technical background and problem-solving skills to ensure operational efficiency and equipment reliability. The Technical Officer will work closely with technical teams to support daily operations and troubleshoot complex technical issues. This role involves applying technical knowledge to maintain and enhance equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining high-quality technical systems within a dynamic work environment. Although this role does not involve team management, collaboration with various departments and external vendors is essential to achieve seamless technical support and operational excellence.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Installation & Commissioning Support

  • Assist in the installation, connection, testing and commissioning of electrical, electromechanical and automated equipment at client facilities
  • Verify all electrical connections, control panel wiring, pressure fittings and plumbing connections prior to equipment startup
  • Conduct pre-commissioning checks and functional testing to confirm equipment is operating within prescribed technical parameters
  • Prepare and maintain installation records, site completion reports and handover documentation

2. Preventive Maintenance

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) plans for assigned equipment at client sites across the district
  • Inspect, clean, lubricate, calibrate and adjust mechanical and electrical components as per the manufacturer's service schedule
  • Check and replace filters, seals, gaskets, valves and other consumable components within the prescribed replacement cycles
  • Document all PM activities in the maintenance log for each unit

3. Fault Diagnosis & Corrective Maintenance

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdown and malfunction notifications from client sites
  • Conduct systematic fault diagnosis using appropriate tools and PLC diagnostic interfaces
  • Identify root causes of failures in electrical circuits, control systems, sensors, actuators, motors and mechanical components
  • Execute repair and replacement of defective parts, components or assemblies
  • Test and verify equipment performance post-repair before handover to client

4. PLC & Control System Support

  • Monitor and interpret PLC status indicators, alarm codes and fault logs on automated equipment control panels
  • Perform basic PLC fault diagnosis and reset operations as per established protocols
  • Escalate complex PLC or software-related issues to the senior technical team with a detailed fault report
  • Ensure all control system parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, etc.) are within specified operational ranges

5. Client Coordination & Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical queries, complaints and service requests from assigned client facilities
  • Provide basic operational guidance and on-site demonstrations to client staff on correct equipment operation and routine care
  • Maintain professional and courteous communication with hospital and facility management at all times
  • Report client concerns and feedback to the Line Manger promptly

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive site visit records, job cards, service reports and parts consumption logs for all assigned sites
  • Submit weekly and monthly technical service reports to the Line Manager
  • Report any safety hazards, non-compliance issues or recurring equipment deficiencies immediately
  • Maintain an accurate inventory record of spare parts and consumables in custody

7. Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere strictly to health, safety and environmental (HSE) protocols during all site visits and maintenance activities
  • Follow infection control procedures and biosafety guidelines applicable to healthcare facility environments
  • Use prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times during technical work

Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with applicable safety standards and client facility rules
