ARAR Group is seeking a diligent Procurement Officer / Supply Chain Officer with at least two years of professional experience in supply chain management and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier relationship management, inventory control systems, and vendor evaluation, ensuring the organization maintains efficient supply chain processes. This role requires someone who can effectively manage purchase orders and monitor inventory levels to support seamless operations. The position does not involve managing a team but requires close coordination with suppliers and internal departments to meet procurement goals and maintain supply chain integrity.
The Procurement Officer / Supply Chain Officer will take responsibility for sourcing materials and services that align with the companys operational needs while optimizing costs and delivery timelines. The candidate will apply their detailed knowledge of inventory management to track availability, forecast demands, and prevent stock shortages or excesses. They will also be responsible for evaluating vendor performance to uphold quality standards and negotiate favorable terms. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the flow of supplies that enable ARAR Group to operate efficiently and competitively in its industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Manage the purchase order process from requisition through approval, placement, and receipt confirmation.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
- Implement and utilize inventory control systems to accurately track materials and streamline operations.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with vendors to obtain the best value for the company.
- Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, reports, and records for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Analyze market trends and supply risks to inform procurement decisions and mitigate potential disruptions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.
