Applied Aquaproducts Services seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger accounting, and tax preparation and compliance. This role requires proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems to accurately track financial transactions and maintain updated records. The candidate must also possess excellent reconciliation skills to ensure the integrity of financial data and support effective financial reporting. In this position, the Accountant works independently without managing a team but plays a critical role in supporting the company’s financial health by preparing detailed reports and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations. The ideal applicant will have at least three years of hands-on experience in accounting and must be proficient in Microsoft Excel to generate and analyze reports that facilitate informed decision-making within the organization.
Responsibilities

Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
Maintain the general ledger by recording and reconciling all financial entries and ensuring account balances are correct.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and national tax laws and regulations.
Support daily regular opertional deliveries.
Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to enter, track, and report on financial data effectively.
Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer balances to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Generate detailed financial reports using Excel and other tools to assist management in budgeting and financial planning.
Monitor expenses and revenues to support financial decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Assist with audit preparations, providing requested financial information and documentation to auditors.
Maintain accurate records for all financial transactions and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and tax regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
