- Monitoring patient’s condition and assessing their needs to provide the best possible care and advice. Observe and do self assesment of patients.
- Monitoring the health of pregnant women and their unborn babies.
- Delivering patients’ babies in labour room as well as providing emotional support and encouragement during labor.
- Teaching patients with pain management techniques to prepare them for labor.
- Taking and recording patients blood pressure, temperature, and pulse as well as execute diagnostic tests as per consultant/doctors order. Maintain medication charts as per SOPs.
- Helping patients and their partners to cope with miscarriages, stillbirths, neonatal deaths, and terminations.
- Teaching new mothers how to feed their newborns.
- Assisting patients in creating suitable birth plans.
- Follow comprehensive nursing care plans for patients.
- Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
- Observing and interpreting patient’s symptoms and communicating them to physicians
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records. Do proper chartings and documentation.
- Follow Nursing Care & Santisation Protocols. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.
