Andromeda Links is seeking a motivated IT Support Assistant to join our team at Siddiq Trade Center, Gulberg, Lahore. This entry-level position is ideal for fresh graduates with a strong interest in information technology and customer service. The IT Support Assistant plays a key role in delivering effective technical support by resolving hardware and software issues, assisting with installations, and providing remote support to clients. The successful candidate demonstrates a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to visit client sites using their own transportation.
Working closely with clients and the internal team, the IT Support Assistant ensures smooth operation and maintenance of IT systems. The role requires basic IT hardware knowledge, proficiency in Windows and software troubleshooting, and the capacity to handle remote desktop support efficiently. This position does not involve managing a team but requires excellent interpersonal skills to engage with clients and solve issues promptly.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to clients, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of computer hardware, software applications, and peripheral equipment.
- Perform routine hardware maintenance and ensure timely repairs or replacements as needed.
- Support end-users by resolving issues via remote desktop tools and onsite visits.
- Diagnose and document IT problems while providing clear solutions to clients in a professional manner.
- Coordinate with team members and escalate complex problems to higher-level support when necessary.
- Manage and update inventory of hardware and software assets assigned to clients.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of IT trends, products, and best practices to improve support delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including security protocols, while interacting on client sites.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and continuously develop technical skills through training and hands-on experiences.
