The Android Developer will be instrumental in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications to support the rapid expansion of MGOIS, a dynamic IT company. This role focuses on delivering scalable, user-centric mobile solutions within an agile engineering environment. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to create exceptional app experiences across multiple countries, ensuring the products meet business goals and user expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK, supporting Android versions 5.0 and above.
- Manage the full Android application development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Build and enhance world-class mobile products that drive business growth across 10 countries.
- Collaborate effectively with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams to ensure timely and high-quality app delivery.
- Implement modern Android architectural patterns such as MVVM or other MV* frameworks to ensure scalable and maintainable code.
- Integrate RESTful Web APIs and third-party tools seamlessly within Android applications.
- Utilize Dependency Injection frameworks like Dagger2 and Android Architecture Components to improve code modularity and testability.
- Ensure applications are high-performing, responsive, and reliable by identifying and resolving bugs and performance issues promptly.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews to uphold and enhance code quality across the development team.
- Implement unit and UI testing using tools such as JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, and related frameworks to maintain software reliability.
- Apply reactive programming techniques using RxJava where appropriate to handle asynchronous data streams efficiently.
- Engage fully in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with the team to convert product backlog items into completed, deliverable features.
- Use version control systems (Git) and follow established branching and CI/CD strategies to streamline development workflows.
- Continuously learn, adapt, and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android application development.
- Proven experience working in fast-paced, agile development environments.
- Hands-on expertise with modern Android development tools, frameworks, and libraries.
