We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team in Islamabad. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining advanced Android applications that prioritize performance, quality, and responsiveness. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and ensure smooth integration with backend services. The role offers a hybrid remote work environment along with competitive compensation based on experience and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of Android applications. Design, develop, and maintain reusable and reliable code using Java and Kotlin. Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional applications. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs to improve overall app performance. Continuously research and adopt new technologies to enhance development efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features. Maintain code quality, organization, and automation processes. Develop advanced applications specifically tailored for the Android platform. Work with external data sources and APIs, including integrating code contributions from junior developers and colleagues. Coordinate with backend teams to design and implement appropriate APIs. Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure code robustness, addressing edge cases, usability, and reliability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android development. Proven expertise with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Strong understanding of the complete mobile development lifecycle. At least one published original Android application. Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git. Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notification services. Deep knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Experience working with third-party libraries and APIs. Comprehensive understanding of the Android ecosystem, including open-source libraries. Knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Hands-on experience with Android SDK across multiple versions and handling various screen sizes. Experience working with remote data via RESTful APIs and JSON. Practical experience with AOSP, LineageOS, or custom ROM development. Proficiency in C, C++, kernel compilation, and rooting Android devices.
