We are looking for a skilled Mid-Level Android Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and maintaining high-quality Android applications. They should demonstrate a strong grasp of modern Android development techniques and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team. This role involves contributing to the full development lifecycle, from concept through delivery, ensuring applications are efficient, reliable, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define, design, and implement new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices.
- Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and memory leaks to ensure smooth app operation.
- Integrate third-party APIs and SDKs seamlessly into applications.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain high code quality.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and libraries.
- Ensure applications perform well, maintain quality, and provide a responsive experience across various devices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Android application development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java programming languages.
- Solid understanding of the Android SDK and Jetpack components such as LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, and Room.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON data, and integrating third-party libraries.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVVM or MVI.
- Proficient with version control systems, especially Git.
- Knowledge of Android UI design principles and adherence to Material Design guidelines.
- Understanding of unit testing methodologies and debugging tools.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Published applications available on the Google Play Store.
- Experience working with Firebase or similar backend services.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, onsite position based in DHA Phase 2, Islamabad. Working hours are from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The salary range for this role is Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 150,000 per month.
