The QC Inspector Electrical is responsible for ensuring that electrical systems, equipment, and installations meet the required quality standards and specifications. This role involves conducting inspections, tests, and audits to identify any non-conformities and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards. The QC Inspector Electrical works closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that all electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with approved plans and specifications.

Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:

  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations during various project stages.
  • Perform testing and verification of electrical components, such as wiring, panels, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
  • Inspect electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Verify proper installation, grounding, and bonding of electrical systems.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Review and interpret electrical codes, regulations, and project specifications to ensure adherence.
  • Document and report any non-conformities, deficiencies, or deviations from approved plans and standards.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions required.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all inspections, tests, and audits performed.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to schedule inspections and resolve any quality-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors regarding compliance with electrical standards and specifications.
  • Communicate inspection findings and recommendations to relevant parties in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the resolution of technical issues and quality concerns.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend best practices for quality assurance.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to electrical inspections.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a QC Inspector or a similar role, with a focus on electrical systems and installations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-conformities.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for documentation and reporting.
