Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement officer to oversee purchases and develop new contracts. In this position, you will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our organization. You will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory, and be responsible for approving purchases.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing vendors globally
- Addressing customer's requirement in timely manner
- Managing RFQs and POs data
- Follow up POs for timely delivery
- Any additional task assigned by manager
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
- Maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records and supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges.
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
Qualifications
- An engineering Degree or Equivalent knowledge
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
- Must be capable to understand inquiry
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Familiar with local market
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Goal-oriented, organized team player
