Alphaclick is seeking a diligent and proactive Chinese Project Coordinator to join our team for a large-scale Electrical/MEP project involving a prominent Chinese client. This full-time, project-based position is located in Islamabad/Rawalpindi. The ideal candidate will have fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with a strong background in project coordination and communication to efficiently bridge interactions between the client and the internal team. This position requires managing a team of three individuals to ensure seamless coordination and effective project execution.
The role demands active involvement in client meetings and site visits, utilizing strong organizational skills and technical knowledge related to Electrical, MEP, or construction projects. The coordinator will be responsible for translating and interpreting discussions, managing project documentation, and maintaining clear communication channels through various platforms including WhatsApp, WeChat, email, and phone. The candidate will also prepare meeting minutes and track action items to support the projects progress and client satisfaction. Previous experience with Chinese companies or CPEC-related projects will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate communication between the Chinese client and project team during meetings, site visits, and daily interactions.
- Translate and interpret conversations and documentation between English and Mandarin Chinese to ensure clear understanding on both sides.
- Manage project-related correspondence including BOQs, technical documents, drawings, and other essential paperwork.
- Maintain active communication channels using WhatsApp, WeChat, email, and phone calls to facilitate timely information exchange.
- Prepare accurate meeting minutes, distribute them to relevant stakeholders, and follow up on pending action items to ensure compliance and progress.
- Support the project team by coordinating tasks and schedules, and ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed.
- Supervise a team of three individuals to ensure efficient execution of coordination duties and adherence to project timelines.
- Facilitate smooth collaboration between the client and project stakeholders by resolving communication barriers and addressing challenges promptly.
- Attend regular site visits and meetings in Islamabad/Rawalpindi to provide on-ground support and maintain direct client engagement.
- Apply knowledge of Electrical and MEP systems to assist with technical clarifications and support document management within the scope of the project.
