Key Responsibilities:

Format manuscripts and book layouts in Microsoft Word and other software (such as Adobe InDesign, Scrivener, etc.), ensuring consistency and readability.
Design and adjust typography, spacing, margins, and alignment to meet publishing standards and enhance the overall appearance.
Implement and maintain styles, headers, footers, and page numbering systems.
Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure the manuscript is error-free and ready for print or digital formats.
Prepare files for print and eBook formatting (PDF, ePub, MOBI, etc.).
Ensure books are properly formatted for different platforms (e.g., Amazon KDP, Apple Books, etc.).
Stay updated with the latest trends in book design and formatting.

Requirements:

Proven experience in formatting books in MS Word and other industry-standard software (e.g., InDesign, Scrivener, etc.).
Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and publishing standards.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with authors, editors, and other team members.
Experience in preparing print and eBook formats (PDF, ePub, MOBI) is highly preferred.
Portfolio or samples of previous formatting work is a plus.
