Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and testing on biomedical and electro-medical equipment to ensure optimal functionality and patient safety.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in various medical devices, especially those used in eye surgery and diagnostic applications.
  • Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer standards and medical guidelines to maintain measurement accuracy and device performance.
  • Read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams and technical manuals to support effective problem-solving and repair execution.
  • Document all maintenance, repair activities, and equipment status reports accurately and prepare workshop documentation.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and specialized computer software to record work details, create reports, and maintain an inventory of medical equipment.
  • Operate all electro-medical equipment functions proficiently, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with hospital clinical staff to understand equipment usage issues and respond promptly to urgent repair needs.
  • Follow regulatory standards and manufacturer's guidelines for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of biomedical equipment.
