Al Noor Traders is seeking a skilled Accountant to join their finance team and manage comprehensive accounting functions while leading a team of 15 professionals. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of professional experience and possess expertise in tax compliance, cost accounting, and financial forecasting. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing tender documentation, and maintaining detailed financial records in a dynamic environment. The Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate bookkeeping, managing expense tracking, and facilitating smooth supplier payment processes. Strong proficiency with ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Office skills are essential to excel in this position.
This role requires an individual with a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, coupled with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Experience within construction, trading, or inventory-heavy industries is highly valued to navigate unique financial scenarios effectively. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial processing.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain smooth cash flow and supplier relationships.
- Perform cost accounting duties including budgeting, cost management, and financial forecasting to support business objectives.
- Prepare and review comprehensive bookkeeping records, financial statements, and bank reconciliations.
- Develop and manage tax compliance activities, ensuring adherence to current tax laws and regulations.
- Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of tender documentation, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender uploading processes accurately.
- Monitor and track expenses, supplier payments, receivables, and manage invoice processing efficiently.
- Utilize ERP software tools such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks for accounting processes and maintain well-organized financial data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accounting policies and procedures align with corporate goals.
- Implement improvements within the accounting workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Maintain inventory records and support inventory-related accounting activities specific to trading and construction sectors.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare financial forecasts and reports to inform strategic decision-making by senior management.
