At AI Textiles, the Merchandiser plays a crucial role in managing the entire order lifecycle from sampling and customer approval to production, quality control, packing, and shipment. This position demands strong and continuous production follow-up, requiring the candidate to closely monitor daily progress and actively drive production teams to meet planned quantities and shipment deadlines. The Merchandiser works in coordination with various departments including production, planning, weaving, dyeing, stitching, finishing, quality control, packing, and logistics to ensure all aspects of the order comply with customer requirements and company standards. The successful candidate must identify and address any production delays, bottlenecks, shortages, or quality issues before they impact delivery schedules and escalate critical matters promptly. Maintaining detailed order status updates, merchandising records, production reports, and shipment documentation is essential. This role requires a minimum of five years of relevant textile merchandising experience, preferably in terry towels or home textiles, alongside excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. The position involves working under production pressure and does not include team management responsibilities.
Responsibilities

  • Manage orders from sampling and customer approval through production, quality assurance, packing, and shipment stages.
  • Closely monitor daily production progress and proactively push production teams to achieve planned quantities and meet shipment deadlines.
  • Coordinate effectively with production, planning, weaving, dyeing, stitching, finishing, quality control, packing, and logistics departments to ensure smooth order flow.
  • Identify production delays, bottlenecks, shortages, and quality issues early to prevent adverse impact on delivery schedules; escalate critical issues to management immediately.
  • Maintain and update daily order status reports and follow up rigorously until production targets are achieved.
  • Ensure that production processes adhere strictly to approved samples, product specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Handle sample development, coordinate approvals, respond to customer feedback, and manage necessary revisions.
  • Oversee quality inspections, coordinate rework and corrective actions, and confirm packing and shipment readiness.
  • Communicate customer requirements, delivery schedules, and order progress updates efficiently across departments and with clients.
  • Maintain accurate merchandising records, production follow-up reports, and shipment documentation to ensure traceability and accountability.
