The Procurement/Supply Chain Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process and ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain. This role involves working closely with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and optimizing supply chain activities to support our production and distribution goals

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management: Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and other supplies.

Supply Chain Coordination: Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including inventory management, logistics, and distribution. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products to meet production and customer demands.

Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Collaborate with production and sales teams to align inventory with business needs.

Compliance & Quality: Ensure that all procurement and supply chain activities comply with industry regulations and company standards. Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain high standards.

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve procurement and supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.

Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement and supply chain performance, including key metrics and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably within the pesticides or chemicals industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive process improvements.
